The Cafeteria Building Supervisor position is responsible for leading and supervising staff and maintaining the operation of the Hersheypark employee Cafeteria (Coaster Cafe) during scheduled shifts. The position will oversee the daily operations relating to employee staffing, revenue operations, and overall general Coaster Cafe operations. It is the responsibility of this position to possess, lead, and instruct on the company’s core values.

Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job):
Train and supervise front-line employees and supervisors to ensure they are capable of interacting appropriately with guests and have the information needed to answer guest questions*
Oversee and train staff on proper job responsibilities, register, and cash handling procedures, and report issues with money bag/loan box variances as they arise*
Allocate staff positions and ensure employees have the proper breaks, supplies, and other operational items needed throughout their shifts*
Ensure strict adherence to Child Labor Laws and report any potential violations to their direct Area Supervisors*
Ensure Coaster Cafe opens and closes at the proper times established or with guidance from the supervisory/management team*
Monitor stand appearance and operations (inside and outside) to ensure cleanliness and presentation meet department standards*
Monitor food preparation and portion controls including adherence to food safety standards and ensure quality products in line with federal, state, and company laws and policies*
Maintain appropriate food production levels based on projected business and weather on a daily basis to minimize food waste*
Maintain equipment properly and report problems with equipment to the appropriate supervisors and/or maintenance staff during operations so that problems are corrected*
Adhere to financial procedures as it relates to money bags and revenue reporting
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Must be 16 years of age or older on the date of applying
Must have at least one (1) year of Food & Beverage experience in a cafeteria setting
Must have at least two (2) years of supervisory experience
Post Employment - Must be certified or be able to pass an alcohol service class (RAMP Training – will be provided) and Food Safety training ( ServSafe certification– will be provided)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Must be able to multitask while prioritizing job tasks and assignments
Must display a positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and professional image in compliance with Hershey Entertainment & Resorts guidelines
Must have the ability to safeguard confidential information
Proven guest relations, problem solving, task management, and organizational skills
Knowledge of Child Labor Law regulations
Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated to perform all aspects of the job at all times
Job Demands:
Must be able to work flexible hours, including morning, evenings, weekends and holidays, with shifts starting as early as 6:30 AM and ending as late as 1:00 AM, in accordance with Child Labor Laws
Must be able to work at least 32 hours a week, Memorial Day through Labor Day, and 15 hours a week in the off season
Physical requirements include ability to stand for up to eight hours at a time, walk, bend at the waist and knees and have repeated manual dexterity, and the ability to push, pull, and reach above shoulder level, and lift up to twenty (20) pounds without assistance
Must be able to work in a combination of indoor and outdoor weather conditions. Employees are subject to a variety of weather conditions, including but not limited to: extreme heat, sun exposure, cold, and inclement weather.
Employee must provide proper footwear (black non-skid/non-slip sneakers)
