A bit about the role
Are you a creative all-rounder with a passion for high-quality food service and a flair for kitchen prep? Do you want to be part of something special, while contributing to a meaningful cause? We’re looking for talented individuals to join our team at The Little Social, a unique social enterprise café that’s making a difference.
This isn’t your average kitchen prep role! At The Little Social, you’ll be more than just part of the kitchen team, you’ll play a key role in crafting a one-of-a-kind café experience that blends great coffee, exceptional service, and positive social impact. A successful applicant will be a true all-rounder with diverse hospitality experience and is ready to have a go at everything from deliveries to sandwich prep.
This vibrant café is located at the Victorian Pride Centre in St Kilda, the first purpose-built hub for Australia’s LGBTIQ+ communities and is a short walk from transport and the CBD.

A little bit about us, The Little Social
The Little Social is a bespoke coffee bar that brews the finest espresso and empowers young people to lead meaningful lives by providing hands-on skills development and mentoring from industry experts. Each young person has a platform at The Little Social to build self-confidence, gain key employability skills and genuine work experience in a supportive and judgement free environment. Our cafes harness community goodwill towards social and economic sustainability and ethical business and invests profits into innovate and grow within a social justice framework - reaffirming our vision of young people being good-to-go into a competitive job market.
The Little Social is powered by Youth Projects - an independent, registered charity who provides front line support to individuals and young people experiencing disadvantage, homelessness, unemployment, alcohol and other drug issues through a range of holistic and wrap around support services. Youth Projects is on a mission to provide high impact support, without judgement, full stop.

The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) has been providing outstanding care for Victoria's children and their families for over 147 years.
We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.
With a passionate, highly skilled and committed staff campus wide of over 5,000, we provide a full range of clinical services, tertiary care and health promotion and prevention programs for children and young people.
We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.
When it comes to training and research we partner with the very best. Our campus partners, the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute (MCRI) and The University of Melbourne Department of Paediatrics, along with the RCH Foundation, are on site with the hospital in Parkville. Together, we are committed to improving the health outcomes for children today and in the future.
In 2016–17, more than 85,654 children attended our Emergency Department, 322,291 specialist clinic appointments were held which was almost 70,000 more than the previous year, more than 17,000 surgeries were performed and more than 48,552 children were admitted to our wards.
