With people and relationships being the centre of all that we do, be a part of something big. Our ISS Healthcare Team have exciting opportunity for experienced Cafe Attendants & Barista Professionals to work in the onsite café serving visitors, patients and staff at Flinders Medical Centre

The Café runs 24/7 (including public holidays), with Café Attendants needing to be available any 5 days in the week, with flexibility to work across any of the shifts (7am to 3pm, 3pm to 11pm and 11pm to 7am).

A minimum of 24 hours per week will be available.

General responsibilities will include:

• Opening and closing of the Café;
• Preparation of food and beverages to customer expectations;
• Ensure all food and beverages are prepared and served according to standard recipes;
• Ensure all areas are fully stocked during services periods, including food items, drink dispensers, crockery, cutlery and consumables;
• Maintain stock levels including stock takes;
• Ensure all cash handling is accurate and is in line with the cash handling process;
• Barista duties – Prepare and serve espresso-based coffees as well as teas and other beverages.

Minimum Criteria:

• Previous experience in a similar role in a café or restaurant (any industry).
• Exceptional personal presentation and grooming, strong organisational and written/verbal communications skills.
• Self-motivated with a strong focus on safety, the environment and compliance
• Ability to work independently and as a part of a team to deliver a high level of customer service.
• Australian work rights - minimum 24 hours per week.

Compliance Requirements to be met:

• Evidence of immunisation for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Influenza, Tetanus, Pertussis, Diptheria, Hep B, Polio.
• Current Police Clearance no older than 12 months is essential
• Current DHS Working with Children Check (WWCC) is essential
• Food Handling Certificate is required.
