The Café Attendant is responsible for providing excellent customer service, preparing and serving food and beverages, maintaining a clean and welcoming café environment, and ensuring a positive guest experience. This role supports daily café operations in a community club house including point of sales transactions, restocking, and basic food preparation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Take orders accurately and operate the point-of-sale (POS) system.
  • Prepare and serve coffee, beer, wine, and light food items in accordance with recipes and standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness of all work areas including counters, tables, equipment, and dining area.
  • Restock supplies such as cups, napkins, condiments, and food items as needed.
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene guidelines.
  • Handle credit card transactions responsibly and accurately.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
  • Respond to customer questions and concerns, escalating issues when necessary.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in food service, hospitality, or retail is a plus.

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic math and cash handling skills.
  • Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
