Job Description

Pay Range: $21.12 - $21.63 per hour (depending on experience)

Job Type: Full-Time, Non-exempt with benefits

Shift and Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30AM - 4:00PM

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ability to understand and follow instructions in English and communicate effectively
  • Ability to interpret and explain menu, refer or answer questions, coordinate meal service process and understands requests
  • Ability to work in close cooperation with residents, guests, visitors, families, supervisor, and peers. Requires courtesy, tact, and graciousness
  • Understands and performs job duties in a manner that meets the demand of kosher dining. Knowledge of and sensitivity to Jewish culture and tradition is desirable

What are the Qualifications?

  • Experience waiting tables in a restaurant, club or hotel with fine dining preferred
  • Must undergo a Physical exam, Tuberculosis Screening, resulting in a negative TB diagnosis prior to employment, and Influenza Vaccination (required during flu season: September to March)
  • Must obtain clearance or exemption approval from the Department of Social Services following FBI and DOJ livescan background check prior to employment

What Will I Be Doing?

  • Provides service and requested items both graciously and politely
  • Cleans and sanitizes tables and maintains workstations in proper order
  • Maintain general maintenance and cleanliness of Café equipment
  • Clears dishes and debris from tables during and after visits
  • Answers pertinent questions about menu items
  • Completes opening and/or closing side work duties in a timely manner
