The role

Our Waterford Village in Hobsonville is looking for a friendly and reliable Casual Café Assistant to join our team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys creating a welcoming café experience, providing great service and connecting with our residents, visitors and team.

As a casual team member, you'll provide support as and when required, helping to cover shifts during periods of leave, sickness and increased demand.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Providing friendly and attentive service to residents, visitors and guests
  • Preparing and serving quality coffees and other café items
  • Assisting with the preparation and day-to-day running of the café
  • Supporting with general kitchen duties, cleaning and keeping the café well presented
  • Working alongside the wider team to create a warm and welcoming experience for our residents.

What you’ll bring:

  • Barista skills and/or previous café experience
  • Experience providing a high standard of customer service
  • A warm, friendly and approachable manner
  • The ability to multitask and manage your time effectively
  • A team-first attitude and willingness to help where needed
  • Flexibility to work casual shifts as required
  • Full working rights in New Zealand.
