Recently the decision was taken to establish a TICO Pune Development Center for the forklift business in Pune, India. This newly established organization will support the TMHG engineering teams worldwide with development centers located in Europe, North America, and Japan.

As an Engineering Analyst, you will apply your analysis and simulation skills in support of engineering development and other technical initiatives. You will collaborate with a dynamic and diverse team to achieve shared goals.

This position is with the TICO Pune Development Center, a sister company of Vanderlande, both of which are part of the parent organization, TICO. This is an individual contributor role that will report to the Group Leader of Mechanical Engineering.

Responsibilities / Key Activities:

The Engineering Analyst (CAE Engineer) will specialize in finite element analysis and will have the following responsibilities:

  • Interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Utilizing CAD tools to modify geometric models in preparation for analysis.
  • Performing routine mechanical engineering calculations using standard formulas.
  • Conducting structural finite element analyses, requiring knowledge of:
    • Finite element meshing techniques and element types
    • Material properties and models
    • Loading and boundary conditions
    • Finite element solvers and settings
  • Interpreting and documenting analysis results.
  • Utilizing MATLAB or Python scripting for efficient analysis workflows.
  • Verifying and validating simulation models and results.
  • Collaborating with other Engineering Analysts to establish best practices.
  • Applying additional simulation techniques based on expertise and experience.

Location & Travel:

This is a full time (100%), in-person role located at our Pune, India office – ideal for those who thrive in a hands-on, team-oriented environment. Travel is not required.

Education & Experience

We are searching for a candidate with the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
  • 2-5 years of professional analysis and simulation experience with a primary focus in finite element analysis.
  • Experience in the forklift, automotive, or heavy equipment industries is a must
  • Basic 3D CAD modeling experience. Familiarity with Dassault Systems Catia and PTC Creo a plus.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Inquisitive mindset with a strong problem-solving approach.
  • Data-driven with the ability to interpret and apply insights.
  • Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals and a willingness to learn new technical areas.
  • Excellent people skills with a collaborative approach.
  • Flexible and adaptable to evolving project needs.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical material to diverse audiences.
