As an embedded IT group, the Center for the Advancement of Data and Research in Economics (CADRE) supports data or computationally intensive research and analytics for staff in the Economic Research division of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City and across the Federal Reserve System. Our technology services include multiple high performance computing environments, research data warehousing and curating services, and endpoint support. The Federal Reserve System is modernizing its data infrastructure through initiatives like the Common Data Platform (CDP)—a cloud-based, end-to-end data management platform. We seek a Data/Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and efficient data pipelines that transform raw data into trusted, actionable insights across Federal Reserve business lines, including supervision, regulation, payments systems, and economic research.
Successful candidate will be a team-oriented Data/Software Engineer with a strong understanding of the end-to-end process of delivering software using Agile/DevOps methodologies and have expertise in more than one of the technologies listed below.
How We Work:
Citizenship Requirements: United States citizenship or lawful permanent resident alien status, with at least three (3) or more years of United States residency from the date of legal entry to the United States is required for this position.
Screening Requirements: This position has additional screening requirements due to the information accessed while performing the job. These additional screenings would be initiated at the time of offer acceptance and could take up to a couple of months to complete. You can begin work before the screening is completed; however, continued employment is contingent on acceptable screening results. The areas screened may include education/employment verification, criminal history, credit history, and reference checks.
