Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain global 2D/3D CAD standards for CATIA users
  • Maintain CAD standards documentation aligned with Business Operating System
  • Drive design automation initiatives and knowledge-based engineering (KBE) solutions
  • Troubleshoot CAD issues using structured engineering processes, document solutions as best practices
  • Monitor CAD standards compliance and usage metrics
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in CAD data exchange, automation, and macros
  • Maintain and publish FAQs and knowledge repositories
  • Support training material development for CAD/PLM best practices
  • Collaborate with Development, IT, and Product Engineering teams for process alignment
  • Define and implement BOM guidelines, coach engineering teams on best practices

Skills & Competencies:

  • Technical Expertise:
    • Advanced proficiency in CATIA V5 and V6
    • Strong knowledge of Teamcenter PLM (CAD-BOM integration)
  • Programming & Automation:
    • Proficiency in developing CATIA Automations using CATScript, CATVBA, Python
    • Experience in working with KWA workbench (Rules, Checks, Reactions) (EKL Programming)
    • Experience in KBE, Power Copies, and standard part catalogs
  • Additional Skills:
    • Familiarity with AI tools for productivity (e.g., Copilot)
    • Advanced video creation/editing skills for training content
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
    • Ability to prioritize and deliver long-term solutions
    • Excellent written and verbal communication in English
  • Preferred:
    • Exposure to OEM automotive processes using CATIA
