A Day in the Life
As the successful CAD/GIS Technician candidate, you will work with a diverse team of design professionals on a variety of environmental assessments, remedial design, permitting, construction and related projects providing design and drafting support for project delivery. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience using AutoCAD and ArcGIS.
The hourly range for this role is $28-$33, commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location.
To thrive in this role, you’ll be comfortable taking ownership of the following responsibilities:
Producing site plans and associated drawings for projects related to environmental site assessment, remediation, and construction.
Preparing and editing drawing/map products including contouring, digitizing, editing, and data management.
Integration/migration of AutoCAD based site plans to GIS environment.
Occasional site visits to prepare site plans or as-built drawings.
Other duties as required.
Your Expertise and Skills
These requirements reflect the knowledge, skills and abilities that help you do your best work here.
2+ years of relevant experience with AutoCAD and the ability to complete drafting work with minimal supervision.
1+ year of relevant experience with ArcGIS and the ability to complete project deliverables with minimal supervision.
Experience working with civil infrastructure, landfill or environmental projects.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, drawings, and job specifications.
Superior technical and organizational skills; ability to prioritize and execute multiple assignments simultaneously.
Self-motivated, possessing strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Have a professional, collaborative approach, and the ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team providing outstanding client-focused service.
