Job Description

McPherson Media Group is looking for a cadet journalist to join The Riv, Campaspe News and Kyabram Free Press team. We are looking for a person passionate about community journalism, with the love for regional Victoria, its lifestyle, people and stories.

  • Keen interest in all issues that affect the community, from local government and politics to stories of human and social interest.
  • A positive attitude, commitment to the cadetship program and the willingness to learn.
  • A strong work ethic, good time management and the ability to work under deadline pressure.
  • A valid driver’s licence and readiness to work flexible hours including weekends, evenings and public holidays.
