CAD Technician Intern –
Physical Substations
About the Position
As a CAD Technician Intern in the Physical Substations group, you will work collaboratively with our engineering teams to create design drawings for our clients. As an intern, you will be supported by the group Director and Senior Design Consultant to deliver quality work in a timely manner and within a defined budget.
Hourly Rate: $25.00/hour
The salary range above is based upon the Denver, Colorado labor market.
Essential Responsibilities
Assist in producing physical substation packages including general arrangements, elevations, bill of materials, conduit, grounding, lightning protection, and illumination
Support NEI standard drawing development, as needed
Study relevant Codes and Standards to understand applicability to physical substation design
Work effectively as part of a team and independently with oversight
Must Have
Proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
A strong command of the English language
Possesses effective written and oral communication skills
Good interpersonal and people skills
Knowledge of AutoCAD 3D modeling software is a plus
Knowledge of physical substation design is a plus
Working Conditions
Work Environment:
Work is performed in an office setting.
Travel:
Minimal: 0 – 5%
Physical Activities:
Must be able to lift 25lbs.
