QualificationsThe CAD Technician I position will operate CAD system to create AutoCAD shop drawings from digital template files of new construction and builder job projects.
Essential Functions

- Create digital rendering of final product for new construction and builder jobs using AutoCAD, focusing on basic kitchens and vanities for production accounts and pre-CADs.
- Use digitized templates, notes gathered at template, and information provided by designers and/or contractors to create shop drawings in AutoCAD in order to fabricate countertops.
- Uses CKF approved drawing standards as guidelines for all CAD drawings.
- Work closely with all departments in the facility to ensure that the drawings convey the correct information.
- Work from drawings, sketches or scanned images, customer drawings, or specifications.
- May be responsible for some design elements.
- Ensure that anticipated problems in manufacture, assembly, installation and operation are resolved by the drawings produced
- Self-check own work for completeness, accuracy, and compliance to standards and work with senior level CAD technicians and CAD & Template Manager to review final product.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift up to 50lbs.

Required Education and Experience
- Proficient in AutoCAD 2000 or higher.
- Ability to read blueprints/takeoffs/template notes.
- Ability to read a tape measure to the 16th of an inch with accuracy and precision.
- Strong math skills.

Preferred Education and Experience
- 1+ years of CAD experience.
- Experience working in construction or interior design field.
- Associates or Bachelors degree in Interior Design, Engineering or related field.
- Designation or certification from recognized CAD training facility.
