CAD Technician

Parsons is seeking a skilled and experienced CAD Technician to join our team! In this role, you will support engineering and construction teams by producing accurate technical drawings and plans using computer-aided design (CAD) software, ensuring all work complies with project requirements and design standards.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Preparing detailed and accurate drawings, layouts, and plans using AutoCAD and other computer-aided design software.
• Supporting engineering teams by converting conceptual designs and sketches into technical drawings.
• Reviewing and modifying existing drawings to reflect design changes and project updates.
• Coordinating with site teams to ensure that drawings align with actual site conditions and construction progress.
• Ensuring all drawings are prepared in accordance with client standards and project specifications.
• Maintaining organized drawing records and ensuring updated versions are readily available.
• Assisting in the preparation of construction documentation, layouts, and as-built drawings.
• Collaborating with various engineering disciplines to produce accurate and coordinated technical drawings.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Diploma from an accredited institution.
• 10 years of demonstrable experience in drafting for construction projects.
• At least 5 years of experience working on environment firm construction sites, with a strong understanding of site practices.
• Proficient in using AutoCAD and other computer-aided design tools.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken, with excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong computer skills and the ability to work with various design software applications.
