$55000 - $73000 / year
The CAD Engineer will be responsible to create detailed drawings and schematics according to engineering sketches, specifications, and related data/drawings to determine design factors such as size, shape, and arrangement of parts.
• Engaging with our design team to produce electrical schematics and mechanical shop drawings for review by customers, installers, or construction managers.
• Revising and resubmitting drawings based on responses to comments from the project review team.
• Printing (plotting) drawings for review, approval, and final stamping.
• Preparing as-built drawings and final project closeout of drawing work.
• Updating and improving upon company standards and templates, as required.
• Interacts with multi-discipline teams on proposals and projects
• Associate’s or technical degree with AutoCAD Electrical being a major component.
• 3-5 years of experience using AutoCAD on a daily basis.
• Prior experience with railroads a plus.
• Ability to work with minimal instruction.
• Ability to interpret customer comments effectively and accurately update the projects drawings.
• Strong interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness in work.
