The CAD Design Manager provides technical leadership and oversight for all Computer‑Aided Design (CAD) standards, workflows, and deliverables supporting municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects. This role ensures production efficiency, consistency, and quality across drawings and models while supporting engineers, designers, and project managers throughout all phases of project delivery.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Associate’s degree in Computer‑Aided Drafting and Design and a minimum 5 years of relevant CAD experience

or

  • 10 years of progressive experience working with design software, including:
    • Dynamic content creation
    • System configuration
    • Template management
    • Customization of CAD environments

Additional requirements include:

  • Minimum three (3) years of experience preparing site civil drawings, including pipe plans and profiles.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Plant 3D, or comparable civil and process design software platforms.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record; position requires operating a company or personal vehicle during work hours for business-related travel

Preferred:

Experience with one or more of the following:

  • Plant 3D or other 3D drafting platforms
  • BIM 360 or similar cloud‑based collaboration tools
  • Revit
  • Bluebeam

Additional Information

Compensation: Salary will be commensurate with education and experience. The typical salary range for this role is $80,000 - $135,000. Compensation includes a comprehensive health, dental and vision benefits package. RESPEC is a 100% employee-owned company and employees are eligible for participation in the EPP after a qualifying period.
