We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Jewelry CAD/CAM Designer to join a premium jewelry manufacturing team specializing in fine jewelry and diamond jewelry production. This role is ideal for experienced professionals who possess strong technical expertise in jewelry design, CAD modeling, and manufacturing preparation, with a deep understanding of export-quality standards and production processes.

As a Senior Jewelry CAD/CAM Designer, you will be responsible for transforming design concepts into precise, production-ready digital models while ensuring optimal manufacturing efficiency, weight management, and exceptional craftsmanship. You will work closely with design, production, and manufacturing teams to create high-quality jewelry pieces that meet international quality standards and client expectations.

The ideal candidate combines artistic creativity with technical precision and has extensive experience working on complex jewelry designs, casting preparation, and 3D printing workflows within a professional jewelry manufacturing environment.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Create detailed and accurate CAD models for fine jewelry, diamond jewelry, and custom-designed pieces.
• Convert design sketches, concepts, and specifications into production-ready digital models.
• Prepare and optimize files for CAM processes, prototyping, and 3D printing.
• Ensure all designs comply with manufacturing requirements, quality standards, and production feasibility.
• Apply advanced techniques for weight optimization while maintaining design integrity and structural durability.
• Account for casting shrinkage, stone setting requirements, and manufacturing tolerances during the design process.
• Collaborate with product development, design, and production teams to refine designs and resolve technical challenges.
• Review models for accuracy, functionality, and production readiness before release to manufacturing.
• Support rapid prototyping and sample development initiatives.
• Maintain detailed documentation of design specifications and revisions.
• Continuously improve workflows and design processes to enhance productivity and quality.
• Stay updated on emerging jewelry design technologies, CAD tools, and manufacturing innovations.

What Makes You a Great Fit

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in jewelry CAD/CAM design within fine jewelry or diamond jewelry manufacturing environments.
• Proven experience creating complex, high-precision jewelry models for international or export-quality production.
• Advanced proficiency in Rhino, RhinoGold, Matrix, MatrixGold, JewelCAD, or similar jewelry CAD software.
• Strong understanding of jewelry manufacturing processes, including casting, stone setting, polishing, and finishing.
• Expertise in weight optimization, production tolerances, and manufacturing best practices.
• Experience preparing accurate CAM files and 3D printing models for production workflows.
• Strong technical knowledge of casting shrinkage factors and design adjustments required for manufacturing success.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Ability to interpret sketches, technical drawings, and customer requirements accurately.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify design improvements before production.
• Experience working in fast-paced manufacturing environments with strict quality standards and deadlines.
