Job Description

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the cleanliness and care of the cabulance vehicle.
  • Arrive at facilities in a timely manner to pick up patients.
  • Assist patients in transferring to the cabulance vehicle, ensuring the safety of their belongings and paperwork.
  • Safely transport patients, including handling any patient equipment, while operating the cabulance vehicle.
  • Ensure that all patient belongings and paperwork reach the destination with the patient.
  • Provide a report on patient care to the receiving facility staff, if necessary.
  • Collect required signatures from patients and medical staff as necessary.
  • Adhere to all NWA policies and protocols.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Outstanding organizational skills with great attention to detail.
  • Strong time management capabilities.
  • Effective analytical and problem-solving aptitude.
  • Ability to perform well in a fast-paced and occasionally stressful environment.
  • Proficiency in utilizing software for creating and maintaining patient care reports.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • No more than 1 speeding violation in the last 3 years on the clean driving record.
  • Minimum 2 years of driving experience at the age of 23 or older.
  • Background check and drug screening are required during onboarding.
  • Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid certification (reimbursed by NWA).

Physical Requirements:

Extended periods of sitting in a vehicle, long periods of driving.

Capability to lift up to 75 pounds when necessary.

Full range of motion is required, including standing, kneeling, stooping, reaching, pulling, pushing, lifting, and grasping.
