Cabot Revelstoke Mountain Lodge is a luxury destination property located at Revelstoke Mountain Resort, one of North America’s most iconic year-round mountain destinations. The Custodian is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and safety of public areas, back-of-house spaces, staff facilities, and exterior entrances throughout the property. This role supports the overall guest experience by ensuring all areas of the resort are clean, well-maintained, and presented to Cabot's luxury standards. The successful candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and takes pride in maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities
Cleaning & Property Maintenance
Clean and maintain public areas, hallways, stairwells, elevators, washrooms, and staff areas.
Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing.
Empty garbage and recycling receptacles throughout the property.
Maintain exterior entrances and walkways to ensure they are clean, safe, and presentable.
Replenish restroom and facility supplies as required.
Complete additional duties and special assignments as directed.
Guest Service & Team Collaboration
Greet and assist guests in a friendly and professional manner.
Respond to guest questions or requests and direct inquiries to the appropriate department when necessary.
Maintain a visible and approachable presence throughout the property.
Work collaboratively with Housekeeping, Front Office, Maintenance, and other departments to support the overall guest experience.
Quality & Safety
Conduct routine inspections of assigned areas and address cleanliness concerns.
Report maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards promptly.
Follow all cleaning procedures, safety standards, and WHMIS requirements.
Operate cleaning equipment and products safely and responsibly.
Qualifications
Previous custodial, housekeeping, janitorial, or cleaning experience is an asset; however, no experience is required as full training will be provided.
Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
Ability to work AM, PM, weekends, and holiday shifts as required.
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment and supplies throughout the shift.
