We are now hiring for a Full-Time Cable Solutions Team Member (2nd Shift) for our rapidly expanding Electrical Supplies business. This position will be located at our Kirkwood, NY branch.

Schedule Monday - Friday from 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM with a 30-minute lunch break

Position entails all aspects of wire management including receiving in wire orders, cutting wire orders, shipping wire orders, wire inventory management, organizing the wire room, and other duties associated with the movement of product in a distribution company. This candidate will engage in hands on exploration of new opportunities and collaborate with the team to monitor and solicit feedback and identify improvement opportunities that support GMES’ strategic growth plan. Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Respool wire and cable for customer orders in a timely and accurate manner while minimizing scrap
• Operate wire cutting equipment in safe and effective manner, making sure to secure all moving parts and run at appropriate speeds
• Utilize appropriate tools for cutting wire
• Maintain clean and organized work stations
• Wear appropriate PPE including safety glasses and steel-toe shoes/boots
• Collaborates with team and supports development of ideas, designs, and prototype business models, products, systems, tools, and services that may be new to GMES and new to market.
• Collaborates and contributes to team effort and results
• Able to work independently and within a team.
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities and develop plans for review with team
• Develops knowledge through on-the-job training, technical publications, and/or workshops
