Te kōwhiringa | The Opportunity
Our team is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced Cable Jointer to deliver HV and LV jointing, installation and maintenance across the Hamilton network. You’ll support fault response, maintenance and construction activities that keep electricity supply reliable for the community.

You’ll join a capable, supportive crew with strong technical expertise, backed by industry‑leading safety systems and quality standards. Whether you’re building on your HV skills or already fully competent at this level, you’ll have structured development, stable work and the chance to take on varied, hands‑on tasks across our network footprint.

This is a Full-Time, Permanent role based from Clem Newby Rd in Te Rapa, Hamilton. We guarantee 40 hours per week, with occasional (compensated) overtime.

Ngā pūkenga matua | Important Skills
We’re looking for a motivated, safety focused Cable Jointer who brings proven technical capability and the drive to deliver high quality work.

You will bring:

  • Relevant EWRB Registration and current Practising Licence
  • National Certificate in Electricity Supply (Cable Jointer – High Voltage) Level 4
  • Strong knowledge of SMEI, LV/HV reticulation and safe work practices
  • Experience with LV and HV jointing, installation and maintenance
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or within a crew


You’ll be comfortable working across the Hamilton/Waikato area and contributing to fault response as required.
