Primary Location

Epping, VICService Stream’s Power division are currently seeking a Cable Jointer to join our growing company. The Distribution Cable Jointer is responsible for the safe delivery of works on high and low voltage underground cables. The duties include but are not limited to HV & LV cable jointing, cable hauling and civil work.

Nature of position: Permanent, Full Time

Location: Epping

Reporting Line: Works Manager

Key Responsibilities

Working on low voltage and high voltage cables and following correct HS&E guidelines and procedures
HV and LV cable jointing including Live LV jointing
Construction and maintenance on the network
Working on Paper Lead, XLPE, Supervisory and 66kV preferred

About You

Strong understanding and appreciation of Health and Safety practices.
VESI (Victorian Electricity Supply Industry) trained and up to date
Ability to meet individual project productivity & target costs.
Hold a Cert III in Cable Jointing, Medium Rigid Truck Licence or above, EWP (Elevated Work Platform), licence to perform High Risk Work, Dogman, Construction White / Blue Card.
Share our commitment to the highest quality of workmanship.
Desirable – Forklift licence, experience on the CitiPower/PowerCor Network and ID&Spike cables
