Job Description

Flexjet, an award-winning organization, is looking to add a talented Cabinetry Technician to the team!

Cabinetry Technicians are responsible for the fabrication and assembly of various components for the interior of the aircraft during refurbishment such as cabinets, galleys, lavatories, wardrobes, tables, etc. In addition to working with wood components and high-grade veneers, technicians will also work with composite and other light-weight materials.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1-3 years of prior woodworking experience.
  • Comfortable using different types of woodworking equipment.
  • Strong mathematical knowledge and the ability to make accurate measurements.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical/engineering drawings is required.
  • Additional trade certifications or education in woodworking, woodwork manufacturing or millwork preferred.

WORKING HOURS:

This is a full-time (FT) position where hours will change due to business operational needs and flexibility is required. At present, the standard hours of work are 7am-4pm, Monday to Friday.

COMPENSATION:

Hourly: $25.00- $31.23/Hr

We offer competitive compensation including 6% RRSP matching, 10% deferred compensation, second-shift premium, and Health/Medical/Dental/Life benefits.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Regular periods during which physical effort is required (walking, standing, stooping, lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward).
  • Exposure to factors such as temperature variations/extremes, fumes, moving machinery, humidity, and materials which can cause periods of discomfort.
  • Work involves repetitive, hands-on tasks requiring sustained physical effort and manual dexterity.
  • Able to lift and transport up to 40 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Able to wear protective equipment for extended periods of time including particle masks, goggles, assorted gloves, head bonnets, and disposable protective suits.
  • Occasional direct and indirect pressure from deadlines, production quotas, accuracy or similar demands.
  • Comfortable with working in confined spaces if required
  • Flexibility with tasks (often stopping and restarting on projects)
