The Cabinetmaker II produces cabinets, fixtures, architectural millwork and wood furniture for the university. Working independently and exercising good judgment and discretion is essential to this job.

Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing to convey clear, well articulated information.
Ability to understand, speak, and write English in order to convey messages and correspond in an articulate and professional manner.
Possess public communication skills that allow professional representation of Liberty University
Strong organizational skills.
Computer skillsare minimal, mostly developed on the job.
May be required to travel across campus, town and state or beyond.
May berequired to sit to perform deskwork or type on a keyboard.
Regularly required to hear and speak effectively to communicate orally.
Regularly required to stand, walk, and climb stairs to move about the campus.
Handle materials, reach overhead, kneel or stoop in order to conduct business.
Regularly lift 75 or fewer pounds
Must be able to work well with the public and co-workers and present a positive attitude.
Clean and professional appearance. Must be courteous, detail oriented. Self-motivated, diligent, and trustworthy.
This position might require the use of and operation of aerial lifts or be willing and able to obtain aerial lift certifications, operate, and work from various aerial lifts and heights.
Desire to work with a team to accomplish goals. Urgency to grow and improve.
Certifications obtained while employed by Liberty University at the expense of the employer, returns back to the University upon voluntary termination (resignation) for the first 12 months after acquiring it.
Must be able to work on weekends, holidays, and flexible daily/evening hours.
WORKING CONDITIONS
The working environment in which one will typically perform the essential functions of this position is a typical woodshop setting that includes dust, noise from shop equipment, hazards from power equipment and paint fumes. May require eye protection, ear protection and respiratory protection. Working environment may include facilitation of events outdoors occasionally.
