Title: Cabinet Service Technician

Compensation: $25/HR

The Service Technician is responsible for supporting our customers by installing, maintaining, and repairing products installed or ordered by Primera to ensure quality standards and customer expectations are met. This role involves diagnosing issues, completing corrective actions efficiently, and maintaining a clear line of communication with external customers and Primera’s internal field and office personnel. The Service Technician follows Primera policies, industry regulations, and safety guidelines, while delivering reliable, high-quality service in the field. As a frontline representative of the company, the Service Technician is expected to embody Primera’s core values of Create Shareholder Value, Personal Accountability, Brand Ambassador, Solutions Driven, and Relationship Centered in every interaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support existing customers by reviewing work schedules and work orders, planning efficient daily travel routes, investigating service issues in coordination with office personnel, and resolving concerns in a timely and effective manner.
  • Build and maintain positive customer relationships by assessing complaints, identifying appropriate solutions, and recommending improved repair methods and techniques.
  • Ensure optimal performance of tools and equipment by following operating instructions, troubleshooting issues, maintaining adequate supplies, performing preventative maintenance, and promptly reporting repair needs.
  • Accurately document all service and installation activities in Job Runner in accordance with company requirements.
  • Maintain customer trust and confidentiality by safeguarding all service-related and customer information.
  • Continually enhance technical skills and job knowledge through participation in training and educational opportunities.
  • Maintain company vehicle in compliance with fleet guidelines, safety standards, and company policies.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned to support departmental and organizational objectives.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Valid CA driver's license with a clean MVR required
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills required
  • Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy required
  • Ability to maintain high standards of confidentiality required
  • Industry experience in homebuilding, construction, or similar fields required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, One Drive, Word, Excel) strongly preferred

Work Environment

  • This position is primarily based on construction job sites with frequent travel between different projects throughout the region. With exposure to construction environments, dust, noise, and various weather conditions are common.
  • Occasional flexibility required for early morning, evenings, and weekends as needed.

Physical Requirements

This position involves lifting heavy materials (up to 100 pounds with assistance), bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods of time. PPE and adherence to all safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of lifting equipment, is required.
