What You’ll Be Learning

As a Cabinet Making Apprentice, you’ll gain hands-on experience across all aspects of cabinetry and joinery, including:

  • Manufacturing and installing custom cabinetry and furniture
  • Working on residential and commercial fit-outs (kitchens, bathrooms, offices)
  • Measuring, cutting, assembling, and finishing timber and board materials
  • Using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery
  • Reading and interpreting plans and design drawings
  • Maintaining high attention to detail and quality finishes
  • Working safely and consistently by following company procedures and industry standards

You’ll receive a combination of on-the-job and off-the-job training, working toward completion of your Certificate III in Cabinet Making and Timber Technology.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Completed a Pre-Apprenticeship (Certificate II in Construction Pathways, Furniture, or Cabinet Making preferred, but not essential)
  • A current Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle
  • A Construction White Card (or willingness to obtain)
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening
  • Strong attention to detail and an interest in working with your hands
