Cabinet Maker

Location: Maumelle, AR

Job Type: Full-Time

Pay: $18–$24 per hour, based on experience

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–6:00 PM, with rotating Saturdays

Hours: Approximately 45–50 hours per week

About the Company

Our client is a leading countertop manufacturer in the Maumelle area and is expanding its operations by adding a new cabinet shop to its business. We are looking for an experienced, motivated Cabinet Maker to join the team and help build this new division from the ground up.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who takes pride in their craftsmanship, enjoys working with their hands, and wants the opportunity to grow with a company. The ideal candidate will have cabinet-making or woodworking experience and the desire to eventually take on additional responsibility, with the potential to grow into a Cabinet Shop Manager role.

Position Overview

The Cabinet Maker will be responsible for constructing, assembling, installing, and finishing custom cabinets while maintaining a high standard of quality and craftsmanship. This person will work closely with the team to help establish efficient processes and contribute to the growth and success of the company's new cabinet shop.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and assemble cabinets and related components according to specifications
  • Read and interpret cabinet drawings, measurements, and shop plans
  • Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood and other cabinet materials
  • Operate woodworking equipment and power tools safely and efficiently
  • Ensure cabinets meet quality, measurement, and finish standards
  • Inspect completed work for accuracy and craftsmanship
  • Assist with cabinet installation and adjustments as needed
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Properly maintain and care for tools and equipment
  • Work efficiently to meet production schedules and deadlines
  • Help develop and improve cabinet shop processes as the division grows
  • Communicate effectively with coworkers and management
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures
  • Take on increasing responsibility as skills and knowledge develop

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in cabinet making, woodworking, carpentry, millwork, or a related field preferred
  • Strong understanding of woodworking tools, equipment, and techniques
  • Ability to accurately read measurements and work from drawings or specifications
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team
  • Reliable, dependable, and willing to learn
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
  • Ability to safely lift and maneuver materials as required
  • Must be comfortable working a full-time schedule of approximately 45–50 hours per week, including rotating Saturdays

Compensation

$18–$24 per hour, depending on experience and skill level.
