Cabin Systems Manager (level K)

The Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA), Integrated Cabin & Cargo Systems Function is seeking Cabin Systems Manager (level K) to join one of several teams in Everett, WA.
Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of First Line Managers including;
1. 787/777 Cabin Systems Platform Manager:
Oversee engineers, Technical Designers, and Project Managers to integrate activities across various Cabin Systems functions. This includes support in developing data for the various functions, supporting design releases, and integrating change across the Interiors organization.
This position is responsible to lead employees performing engineering and technical activities in the areas of Electronic and Electrical Engineering, specifically in support of the development, installation and certification of Cabin Systems features for the 787 and 777 airplane families.
Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes. Guides, coaches and mentors employees to support career growth.
Collaborating with the 787 and 777 Program leaders to align team deliverables to program schedules.
2. Multi-Model Cabin Network Manager:
Oversee engineers, Technical Designers, and Project Managers to integrate activities across various Cabin Systems functions. Coordinate with teams and peers locally and with global teams to develop systems to support multiple functions including vision/camera functions, sensors, displays and health management.
This position is responsible to lead employees performing engineering and technical activities in the areas of Electronic and Electrical Engineering, specifically in support of the development, installation and certification of Cabin Systems features for the 787 and 777-8F airplane families.
Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes. Guides, coaches and mentors employees to support career growth.
Collaborating with the 787 and 777-8F Program leaders to align team deliverables to program schedules.
3. Seats Electrical Manager:
Oversee engineers, Technical Designers, and Project Managers to integrate activities across Seats Electrical Integration projects. Coordinate with teams and peers locally and with global teams to oversee supplier development of systems to support world-class seat projects.
This position is responsible to lead employees performing engineering and technical activities in the areas of Electronic and Electrical Engineering, specifically in support of the development, installation and certification of seats electronics for the 787 and 777 airplane families.
Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes. Guides, coaches and mentors employees to support career growth.
Collaborating with Seats Program leaders and the 787 and 777 Program leaders to align team deliverables to program schedules.
Work Authorization:
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the Everett, WA site, occasional travel may be needed as well.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry
5+ years of experience in an engineering discipline (preferably with Cabin Systems engineering, Integration, Certification or equivalent in a related field).
Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):
Prior experience as design engineer (DE)
2+ years of working with suppliers.
2+ years of experience interfacing with E-UMs/the FAA and/or other certification regulatory agencies
Experience building relationships with internal organizations and suppliers
Demonstrated design and system thinking skills
Ability to manage conflicting priorities in a resource-scarce environment

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Pay Range:
$151,000 – $204,000
