Job Description

As a Cabin Steward at The Venice Simplon-Orient-Express, a Belmond Train you are part of a team that team that crafts a truly memorable environment for all guests. In this role, you will contribute to providing guests with unforgettable luxury experiences and cabin services. Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Providing exceptional customer service to guests to ensure that their needs are met throughout their stay and crafting personalized accommodations and amenities to cater to individual needs
  • Maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of the cabins or rooms by sanitizing, changing bed linens, replenishing supplies, and ensuring a comfortable and aesthetically pleasing environment for guests
  • Providing turndown services in the evening and preparing the cabin for rest while guests savour the fine cuisine in the dining car and enjoy sumptuous cocktails in the bar
  • Takes complete responsibility for maintaining the safety and security of the sleeping cars at all times

Requirements

  • Several years’ experience in Hospitality at luxury level
  • Experience in dealing with international customers
  • Basic knowledge of reception, housekeeping and/or F&B service techniques
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting operations (over 35kg)
  • Flexibility to work varying hours, including weekends and holidays
  • Strong self-organization and time management skills
  • Team player
  • Travelling extensively across Europe
  • European or Swiss passport
  • Fluency in English and French, a basic comprehension of Italian a plus
