Job Description

The Cabana Services Specialist is responsible for supporting the setup, maintenance, and smooth day-to-day operations of cabanas or private guest areas at a hospitality or recreational facility. This role ensures that cabanas are clean, organized, well-stocked, and ready for guest use. The Cabana Services Specialist works under the direction of a Cabana Concierge Supervisor or similar management role to promptly respond to guest requests, provide high-quality service, and address any concerns or issues that may arise. By maintaining operational standards and attention to detail, this position contributes to a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable guest experience.

1. Guest Support & Operations

  • Warmly greet and escort guests to their assigned cabanas or private areas, ensuring a smooth and timely check-in experience.
  • Prepare cabanas to meet company standards, ensuring they are clean, well-stocked with amenities, and fully equipped for guest use.
  • Conduct periodic checks throughout the day to confirm guests’ comfort, address needs, and proactively offer additional services or assistance.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests, questions, or concerns, maintaining consistent high-quality service and enhancing the overall guest experience.
  • Assist in coordinating special requests, VIP arrangements, or personalized guest experiences in collaboration with supervisors.

2. Compliance & Quality Control

  • Adhere to environmental, health, safety, and sanitation policies, ensuring all practices comply with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain all cabanas and surrounding areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition, monitoring for potential hazards or service gaps.
  • Enforce operational and hospitality standards consistently, ensuring staff performance aligns with service expectations.
  • Support sustainability initiatives and environmentally responsible practices in daily operations.

3. Reporting & Maintenance

  • Promptly report damages, maintenance issues, or malfunctioning equipment to supervisors to ensure timely resolution.
  • Assist with minor maintenance or troubleshooting tasks, and coordinate with maintenance teams as needed to maintain operational readiness.
  • Keep accurate records of incidents, operational challenges, or equipment status for review by management.
  • Monitor and track the condition and usage of all cabana equipment to optimize service quality and longevity.


4. Administrative & Additional Support

  • Perform additional duties assigned by management to support smooth cabana operations and enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Assist supervisors or managers with setup, logistical coordination, special projects, or event preparations.
  • Support communication between cabana staff and management, ensuring operational updates, schedules, and guest information are effectively shared.
  • Contribute to process improvements and team initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and service quality.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education: High School Diploma or GED or or equivalent experience is required; additional education in Hospitality or a related field is a plus.
