Position SUMMARY
The C5 + O.N.E. (Opening Networks through English) Logistics Assistant will work in a team with the Program Director, Senior Program Officer, and Program Officer on this new project that supports English for special purposes (energy and environment) for young professionals throughout Central Asia and will report to the Program Officer. The Logistics Assistant will provide programmatic support to implement this project delivering English for special purposes programming. This position may require work outside of normal business hours, including evenings and weekends, as operational needs dictate. Authorized overtime worked under these circumstances will be compensated through the provision of appropriate compensatory time off, in accordance with applicable organizational policies and procedures.
Position Responsibilities
- Support Program Officer to carry out daily task-based and administrative functions related to a wide range of programmatic needs;
- Create and disseminate program and marketing material in English and local languages;
- Conduct informational meetings for program participants, partners, funders, and other stakeholders;
- Lead logistical preparations and schedules for events including orientations, trainings, or visits by delegations;
- Arrange travel and work with relevant organizations for visa support and travel agencies;
- Work with participants and partners to obtain documents needed for participation;
- Provide on-program support for participants, in coordination with other American Councils staff;
- Involve staff of the U.S. Embassy and representatives of the host country government in program activities;
- Working in social networks accounts, which includes posting, reposting, prepare materials for post and highlights on common social media platforms;
- Working in Canva and Adobe;
- Lead Zoom sessions;
- Travel within the country to carry out job responsibilities;
- Engage in project design and consultation, monitoring and evaluation, and donor reporting;
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in a relevant field of study;
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in program administration or position with similar duties;
- Outstanding time management, organization and planning skills;
- Demonstrated excellence in communication and multicultural interpersonal skills;
- Fluent in English and one or more local languages;
- Proactive, independent, and flexible in task management and program implementation
- Flexibility to work on weekends and evenings, when needed;
- Experience in budget management;
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office software suite and common social media platforms;
- Have experience working in social networks accounts, which includes posting, reposting, prepare materials for post and highlights on common social media platforms;
- Have experience working in Canva, Adobe and Zoom;
- Legally permitted to live and work in Kazakhstan.
