Job Description

Title:

C-5M Maintenance Analyst

Functions as a C-5M Maintenance Analyst performing logistics support for the C-5 Super Galaxy Division at Robins Air Force Base. Responsible for conducting maintenance data collection and analysis support and the integration of maintenance and supply systems data to provide logistics analysis and support recommendations. Assists the C-5M Super Galaxy Division with evaluation, enhancement and execution of its Logistics Support Integration activities. Works in collaborative efforts with the System Program Office (SPO), Major Operating Commands (MAJCOMs), field level maintenance personnel, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) personnel in the development and evaluation of solutions aimed at increasing C-5M Materiel Availability objectives. Applies Air Force and/or DoD maintenance and systems knowledge and experience to perform various tasks related to planning, development, implementation, and management of a comprehensive, affordable, and effective system support strategy.

• Drafts instructions, support development of various sustainment and project parts lists, performs maintenance data collection and analysis related to supply chain issues, and performs root cause analysis for maintenance and sustainment issues

Key Responsibilities:
• Accomplishes historical research for C-5M aircraft systems, malfunction analysis, modification, parts replacement, components repair, standards, and specifications. Works individually to form solutions with little to no guidance, performing all duties on-time and on-budget, identifying barriers, briefing leadership on deviations, and submitting solutions.
• Performs maintenance data trend analysis, failure mode and effects analysis updates, preventative maintenance package task updates, isolates and analyzes aircraft functional system deficiencies, identifies appropriate solutions, and assists in the production of data required to implement the improvements.
• Recommends maintenance procedural changes and submits change recommendation documentation via change request channels. Prepares, edits, and/or submits research, travel, technical and other reports. Evaluates customer submitted document change requests, deficiency reports, safety/hazard reports, and accident/incident reports to evaluate failure modes and formulate potential corrective actions.
• Creates appropriate charts and graphs to record results; prepares and/or conducts presentations and briefings to Air Force stakeholders primarily in the C-5M Division.
• Execution of responsibilities requires key logistics and management skills, including: problem solving; critical and creative thinking; conflict resolution; multi-tasking; clear and well-organized communication skills (written, verbal and active listening); strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft office applications; and the ability to develop well-organized and credible presentations and formal written documents

  • Security Clearance: Active secret clearance
  • Education: BA degree and 8 years of experience.
