Qualification Requirements

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Interested candidates should have a strong interest/background in theater and have completed or is working towards a degree in performance art

  • Or be part of an acting conservatory program

  • OR have graduated from improv training programs (like UCB or The Pit)

  • OR have 2 years of experience as an actor/performer

  • OR have presented live interpretive programs at a cultural organization

  • You must have availability for the full employment period and all rehearsals

Preferred (but not mandatory)

  • Experience in roles as a mascot character strongly preferred

  • Experience and current involvement in dance programs strongly preferred

  • Use of puppetry in a show setting

OTHER SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • You must be at least 18 years old at the time your application is submitted

  • You have excellent customer service skills, and are friendly and outgoing

  • You can remain motivated while working outside in various weather conditions

  • You have a high level of self-motivation; you are reliable, flexible and accountable

  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, and walk long distances

  • You must have the ability to lift 30 lbs.

  • You are adaptable and can navigate changing circumstances

  • Bilingual is a plus
