The BYU Women's Basketball Assistant Coach will assist the head coach in organizing and directing various aspects of a highly competitive, Division I basketball program.

What You’d Be Responsible For

  • Recruitment of student-athletes

  • Compliance to NCAA and University rules and regulations

  • Provide leadership and instruction in the personal and athletic development of student-athletes

  • attend and assist in conducting regular practice sessions

  • Monitor eligibility status and promote academic progress

  • Compile data and reports as requested

  • Participate in clinics, exhibitions, and camps as requested

  • Assist in maintaining good alumni and booster relations

What Qualifies You to Apply?

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree (must have required degree by start date)

  • Basketball playing and/or coaching experience

  • Knowledge and understanding of Division I basketball and NCAA rules and regulations

  • Willingness to uphold and live by the university's Honor Code

  • All new employees who are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will be required to hold and be worthy to hold a current temple recommend, which may be verified during the application process.

Preferred

  • College coaching experience (strongly preferred)

  • Recruiting experience

  • Knowledge and understanding of university policies
