We’re excited to share an opportunity for an ambitious, creative and talented individual looking to expand their buying career.
We are looking for an established Buying Assistant (Buyers Admin Assistant) on our Own Brand Womenswear department. You’ll report directly into the Assistant Buyer for the area but with opportunity for range responsibility, so lots of opportunity to further develop your skills and progress in role.
Day to day you will understand the category critical path and supply chain, whilst undertaking administrative support for the buying function. You will be responsible for sample management and maintaining the sample library.
The skills and behaviours imperative to being a successful BA candidate here at The Very Group are; commercially aware, able to build relationships and methodical, passionate, strong communication skills, can demonstrate initiative, enjoys problem solving and you must have excellent attention to detail.
Please note that the talent acquisition team are managing this vacancy directly, and if successful in securing this role, you will be required to undertake a credit, CIFAS, Right to Work checks and if a specific requirement of your role a DBS (criminal records) check. Should your application progress we require you to let the team know if there is anything you need to disclose in relation to any of these checks prior to them being undertaken, including any unspent criminal convictions.

1st stage - A one-hour formal face to face interview for the hiring team to learn more about you, so expect a discussion of your relevant experience along with additional competency questions. We will also ask for a SWOT to be prepared and presented in the session to assess your market knowledge, customer and product trend awareness.
