Position Summary

The role is a buyer position within the Infrastructure Procurement department reporting to Supervisor/Manager. The Procurement Buyer will be responsible for supporting and executing on professional procurement responsibilities (detailed below) for primarily service segments related to repair & maintenance, time & material agreements, and equipment purchasing. This includes sourcing, negotiation, and working with internal customers and external vendors to reach mutually agreeable and cost efficient business agreements. Role requires the ability to successfully manage relationships both externally (with vendor, 3PL, etc.) and internally. The successful candidate will be detail oriented, organized, and comfortable working with multiple suppliers while representing Samsung in the most honest manner. This role is more specific to project based procurement that will facilitate service agreements and at the same time working with end users to determine the best and most cost efficient solutions for the company (subject to change based on company needs).

Role and Responsibilities

Here’s What You’ll Be Responsible For:

  • Primary responsibilities include sourcing, negotiate pricing/terms, facilitate procurement workflow, vendor selection/management, contract revisions/renewals, and regular reporting to management
  • Manage and drive the procurement processes using Samsung systems.
  • Work with internal customers and drive cost efficiencies.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret financial data, solve problems, and make procedural decisions and/or judgements.
  • Assess value and product/service reliability relative to cost; plan, organize, and coordinates acquisition alternatives, as appropriate.
  • To follow procurement rules & regulations and enforce onto procedures and activities that support Samsung processes.

Skills and Qualifications

Here's what you'll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • 3+ years of related experience
  • CPM/CPSM/CPIM certification a plus
  • Self-motivated individual with high initiative, flexibility, customer service, and strong attention to detail
  • Skills in the negotiation and establishment of contractual arrangements for goods and services
  • Knowledge of costing and pricing methodologies
  • Proficient with MS Excel
  • Clear and concise communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong business acumen and sense of ownership

The current base salary range for this role is between$84,000 - $135,000. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
