Education: BE/Btech in any discipline

Industry: Oil & Gas

We are seeking a highly experienced Buyer to join the team in the Oil & Gas industry. The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of experience in procurement, with a strong background in Fabrication, Modular Building, and EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects.

Responsibilities:

- Source, select and negotiate with suppliers to ensure the best terms and cost for materials and services

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and quality of goods and services

- Review and analyze purchase requisitions, identify potential cost savings, and select the most appropriate suppliers

- Prepare and issue purchase orders and contracts in accordance with company policies and procedures

- Monitor and track supplier performance, resolving any issues that may arise

- Collaborate with other departments to ensure procurement needs are met and projects are completed on time

- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and market conditions to inform purchasing decisions

- Conduct regular supplier evaluations and participate in supplier performance improvement initiatives

- Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to achieve cost savings and improve profitability

- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and delivery information

- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field (BE/Btech preferred)

- Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the Oil & Gas industry

- Strong knowledge of Fabrication, Modular Building, and EPC processes

- Proven track record of successfully negotiating with suppliers and achieving cost savings

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Proficient in Microsoft Office and procurement software

- Knowledge of contract management and legal terms

- Willingness to travel as needed
