Key Competencies/skills required.

- Sourcing, Costing, Negotiation, Supplier Management and NPD

- CAPAX & OPEX budgeting and plan vs actual project management

- APQP & PPAP

  • Lead the Buying profile for Interior / Exterior Commodity ( Proprietary Parts)

    • Sound knowledge in the costing, negotiation and supplier management

    • Knowledge of supplier selection, Negotiation & Awarding - Identification and selection of capable & competent suppliers inline with global commodity/procurement strategy

    • Commodity expert in Plastics Raw Material (Forecast, plan and settlement)

    • Develop commodity strategy and execute the same

    • Contract management reviewing and interpreting legal contracts, identifying supplier concerns, and proposing mutually beneficial alternatives.

    • Possesses the ability to foresee potential risks and establish corresponding mitigation plans in advance

    • Achieve on respective area commercial efficiency target in turn to reach Trucks India ANP target

    • Raw material management for all the responsible suppliers and commodity lead role for Plastics Commodity to be ensured

  • Lead the New Part Development of Proprietary Parts (APQP)

    • Sound knowledge of APQP, PPAP, & other quality tools like Cause & effect, 8D analysis

    • Supplier management experience with respect to Quality & Delivery

  • Knowledge of CAPEX & OPEX management

  • Product knowledge of commercial vehicles, knowledge of Supplier Management processes

  • Monitor supplier performance based on defined KPIs & improve supplier performance.

  • Proficiency in managing relationships with stakeholders( team members, end-users) ensuring alignment of project objectives and expectations.

  • Contributors in process improvement projects; review existing processes to identify inefficiencies or areas for optimization.

  • Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels to support process improvement initiatives.

  • Provide management updates and track the same

  • Adherence to the Daimler global procurement process and guideline

Educational Qualifications – Bachelors/Masters/Equivalent degrees in Engineering or Business Administration

Professional Experience 8-14yrs relevant professional experience in Auto OEMs or reputed Tier1s, preferably in Proprietary Parts (Door Modules, HVACs, Lighting, Mirrors, etc)
