The company offers the opportunity to those who wish to express interest in the position of “ Buyer, Materials" for its premises in Chalkidiki and Thessaloniki. The position will be reported to the Materials Procurement Manager of the Supply Chain department in Thessaloniki.

Main Responsibilities:

· Develop and execute sourcing strategies for assigned categories, including equipment, services, and consumables, ensuring alignment across operations.

· Analyze procurement data to identify synergies, optimize the supplier base, and drive total cost of ownership improvements.

· Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to define technical specifications and support long-term category planning.

· Lead end-to-end supplier selection processes, including evaluation, negotiation, and ongoing performance management.

· Draft, review, and manage contracts, framework agreements, and pricing structures, ensuring commercial effectiveness and operational alignment.

· Ensure all contractual terms support business needs, mitigate risks, and comply with applicable regulatory requirements.

· Act as a key procurement point of contact across sites, fostering alignment and consistency in sourcing strategies.

· Standardize procurement approaches and provide guidance to site-based buyers for assigned categories.

· Identify and implement cost optimization initiatives and continuous improvement opportunities within procurement processes.

· Monitor and report on category spend, savings performance, and supplier effectiveness.

· Contribute to annual procurement planning and budgeting activities.

· Ensure full compliance with procurement policies, ethical standards, and internal controls.

· Maintain accurate and audit-ready procurement documentation, including contracts and supplier records, in line with SOX requirements.

· Support the identification, assessment, and management of category-related risks through structured risk registers.

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline.

· Minimum of 5 years’ experience in strategic procurement, category management, or a similar role within a structured organization.

· Willingness and ability to travel across company sites, as required.

· Demonstrated expertise in strategic sourcing, negotiation, and contract drafting within a complex business environment.

· Strong business acumen with the ability to translate data into actionable procurement strategies.

· Advanced analytical mindset, with a focus on cost optimization and value creation.

· Proven ability to build effective relationships and influence stakeholders across multiple functions and sites.

· Experience operating in multi-site environments and managing complex supplier agreements is highly desirable.

· Solid understanding of legal, commercial, and risk-related aspects of procurement contracts.

· Hands-on experience with SAP or other ERP systems within a procurement context.

· Advanced user of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to present insights clearly and effectively.

· Professional procurement certifications (e.g., CIPS, EIPM) will be considered a strong advantage.
