The Buyer – Maintenance, Repairs & Operations (MRO) plays a key role in executing Amy’s indirect procurement strategy through a balance of tactical execution and strategic sourcing responsibilities. This role manages assigned categories of operations & maintenance spend, manages supplier relationships and partners cross-functionally to ensure supply assurance, cost control, and alignment with Amy’s strategic goals. This role also directly supports the plant maintenance team by purchasing necessary parts and services, overseeing the parts storeroom, responsibility for inventory accuracy and managing spend to budget through competitive bids and weekly spend reviews.

This position is located in a food manufacturing environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and at times, high, precarious places. The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme cold. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Personal protective equipment is provided and must be worn according to Amy’s Kitchen GMPs and Safety standards.

A pioneer of the organic foods movement, Amy's started over 30 years ago with a simple mission to make good food for everyone at the table. Andy and Rachel Berliner started the company in their California farmhouse kitchen in 1987, and they named it after their newborn daughter, Amy. Their first product was a vegetable pot pie with a flaky, homestyle crust.
