Position Summary

Manages the complete purchasing cycle for allocated medium-criticality or medium-value Material Requisitions to ensure budget, schedule, quality, and execution objectives are achieved.

The position supports project and proposal execution in a global EPC environment and is expected to conduct all purchasing activities competitively, ethically, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with applicable Technip Energies and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

· Recommend bidder lists for allocated Material Requisitions in alignment with the project sourcing strategy and approved supplier requirements.

· Prepare, issue, and manage inquiries and purchase orders using approved e-procurement, ERP, and document-management tools.

· Coordinate commercial and contractual clarifications and negotiations through supplier selection, maintaining a clear and auditable record.

· Collaborate closely with Engineering to complete technical and commercial clarification cycles within the required schedule.

· Compile, check, issue, and administer purchase orders, including supplier acknowledgement and acceptance without unacceptable comments.

· Uses experienced commercial judgment and seeks support from senior buyers, the Project Procurement Manager, or the Section Head for high-risk exceptions.

· Provides day-to-day guidance and support to Buyer I personnel when requested.

· Manage scope changes during purchase order execution and prepare amendments in accordance with delegated authority and approval requirements.

· Support recovery of applicable liquidated damages, back-charges, credits, or other supplier liabilities when properly documented.

· Close purchase orders in a timely manner and contribute to supplier performance feedback and project close-out requirements.

· Maintain the highest standards of ethics, confidentiality, compliance, and professional conduct in supplier interactions and commercial decisions.

Required Qualifications and Experience

· Bachelor’s degree, technical diploma, or other relevant qualification in business, engineering, supply chain, or a related field.

· Previous purchasing or procurement experience, preferably in a complex project-based or industrial environment.

· Demonstrated experience preparing inquiries, evaluating commercial bids, negotiating with suppliers, and administering purchase orders.

· Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.

· Working knowledge of e-procurement, ERP, and spreadsheet-based analysis and reporting.

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience in EPC, FEED, LNG, petrochemical, refining, energy transition, or other capital-project environments.

· Experience with supplier qualification, commercial bid tabulations, purchase order amendments, claims, or supplier performance management.

· Timely resolution and escalation of technical, commercial, contractual, and supplier-performance issues.
