About the Role:
As a Buyer, you will play a critical role in the supply chain by assisting with basic procurement tasks and supporting the team to ensure smooth operations. This entry-level position will expose you to the fundamental elements of procurement processes, providing a solid foundation for your career in supply chain management.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in preparing basic purchase orders and requisitions.
• Support inventory checks to ensure reliable supply levels.
• Conduct preliminary supplier research and maintain supplier information.
• Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure accurate shipment and receipt of goods.
• Help resolve routine procurement issues under supervision.
• Maintain procurement records and documentation.
• Support the execution of procurement transactions as directed.
• Contribute to the preparation of procurement-related reports.
• Communicate with suppliers to confirm order statuses.
• Assist in the evaluation of supplier performance data.
Skills:
• Basic Procurement Principles: Understanding basic procurement processes and terms.
• Microsoft Office Suite: Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Organization: Efficient in managing documents and procurement records.
• Team Collaboration: Ability to work well within a team environment.
• Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy in tasks and documentation.
• Problem-Solving: Basic ability to identify and address procurement issues.
