To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we are looking to add a Direct Buyer located in Guadalajara, North Campus.

Reporting to the Materials Planning Manager , the Direct Buyer role involves being responsible for coordinating activities related to the procurement of direct materials, components, and equipment.

What a typical day looks like:

• Reviews requisitions and MRP releases.
• Communicates with suppliers to obtain product or service information such as pricing, availability, and delivery times.
• Places, reschedules, and cancels material orders based on requests and MRP outputs.
• Manages supplier performance in terms of price, delivery, and quality expectations, and escalates issues when necessary.
• Approves invoices for payment.
• Interacts with suppliers and customers to ensure on-time delivery and best market pricing.
• Makes tactical purchasing decisions. Executes corporate sourcing programs and purchases high-value parts.
• Conducts quarterly supplier reviews.
• Maintains purchasing records, reports, and metrics.
• Tracks orders from placement through supplier payment and system receipt.
• Coordinates with warehouse to resolve receiving issues.
• Leads and develops the work team (buyers/interns).
• Direct contact with customers.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• Completed Engineering degree or Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience in Buyer, Material Planning, or related roles.
• Experience in the electronics industry.
• Advanced English.
• Previous experience with MRP.
• Experience with Baan.
• Intermediate/Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience managing personnel.
• Knowledge of ocean freight is a plus.
