Pinnaql is a trusted consulting partner to regulated life sciences companies, providing deep technical, validation, and quality expertise across every stage of the product lifecycle. We partner with pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device organizations to navigate complexity, accelerate project timelines, and maintain a strong state of compliance and audit readiness.

We are seeking a an experienced Buyer contractor to support purchasing for a 6-month onsite assignment. The position requires working knowledge of SAP, experience in regulated environments, and the ability to work with cross-functional BSC teams and suppliers.

Description:

• Place purchase orders (POs) in SAP in accordance with BSC purchasing procedures.
• Expedite material based on ERP (SAP) recommendations and action messages to support production needs.
• Follow up with suppliers on order confirmations, delivery dates, and open PO status.
• Analyze invoice discrepancies (e.g., price, quantity, or receipt mismatches against POs) and work with suppliers and BSC Accounts Payable and Receiving to resolve them in a timely manner.
• Monitor open orders and inventory levels to help ensure material availability.
• Communicate material delays, shortages, and purchasing issues to BSC stakeholders.
• Coordinate with BSC Planning, Supplier Quality, and Receiving teams, and participate in BSC Supplier and Delivery meetings as needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in purchasing or buying within a regulated industry (medical device experience preferred).
• Working knowledge of SAP, including PO creation and order management.
• Demonstrated experience and relevant SAP, purchasing, PO placement, and invoice discrepancy resolution experience, as well as onsite work readiness.
• Proven experience in PO placement and expediting material per ERP recommendations.
• Experience in invoice management, including analyzing and resolving invoice discrepancies.
• Ability to resolve problems and communicate effectively with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
• Experience with Rapid Response planning system is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Proficiency in the English language
