Job Description

INTECH Process Automation is seeking a seasoned Buyer to join our Operations & Maintenance (O&M) team. The Buyer will be Responsible for sourcing and purchasing materials and services in accordance with approved requirements, specifications, procurement procedures, commercial terms, and project schedules. Ensure competitive sourcing, compliant purchase orders, timely procurement, and complete documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source materials and services from approved and qualified vendors.
  • Obtain and evaluate competitive quotations against technical and commercial requirements.
  • Prepare and issue purchase orders in accordance with approved procurement procedures.
  • Review technical specifications, quantities, delivery requirements, and commercial terms.
  • Apply appropriate Incoterms, payment terms, warranty, and contractual requirements.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, QA/QC, Expeditors, Logistics, etc.
  • Support vendor qualification, evaluation, and selection in accordance with approved processes.
  • Negotiate pricing, delivery, payment, warranty, and other commercial conditions within delegated authority.
  • Track PO status, commitments, amendments, and vendor documentation.
  • Resolve procurement issues affecting cost, quality, delivery, and project requirements.
  • Maintain complete RFQ, quotation, evaluation, PO, correspondence, and procurement records.
  • Ensure compliance with COMPANY procedures, procurement policies, contractual requirements, and HSE/quality requirements.

Requirements

To Be Successful in This Role, You Must Have:

  • Bachelor's degree, diploma, or professional certification appropriate to the assigned function.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Oil & Gas or industrial procurement, including at least 3 years in a Buyer/procurement role.
  • Strong knowledge of technical and commercial procurement, competitive sourcing, and vendor management.
  • Experience in RFQs, quotation evaluation, purchase orders, and procurement documentation.
  • Working knowledge of Incoterms, commercial terms, warranties, and delivery requirements.
  • Experience with vendor qualification and evaluation.
  • Ability to negotiate price, delivery, payment, and commercial conditions.
  • Strong coordination with Engineering, QA/QC, Expediting, Logistics, vendors, and other internal departments.
  • Proficiency in ERP/procurement systems and MS Office.
  • Good commercial awareness, communication, negotiation, and record-keeping skills.
