We are seeking a detail-oriented and data-driven Buyer with Procurement experience. This role will focus on analyzing data and preparing, reviewing, and tracking quotations & with Proficiency of SAP & database platforms. Reviews and analyzes purchase requisitions. Coordinates purchasing activities with manufacturing, planning and engineering departments to acquire inventory in a cost effective and timely manner. Processes purchase requisitions, purchase change orders and requests for quotes to suppliers. Responsible for procurement business system data input and integrity; creates and maintains bills of material and parts/commodities numbers in supply chain management or other enterprise wide systems. Participates in maximizing the procurement teams' changes, part parameters; quote table maintenance, supplier database information, error report analysis, and part number/supplier code information. Performs cost analysis and volume planning for major commodities (e.g., materials, components, equipment and services). Monitors the cost, schedule and scope of assigned subcontracts to negotiate highest quality at best value. Develops new supply sources where vendors and suppliers are no longer competitive. May recommend cost saving proposals including make-versus-buy analysis or alternative sourcing. Interacts closely with suppliers and QA to resolve quality issues. Works with management to address all aspects of commodity management, including procurement support, commodity business plans, market trends assessment, pricing, and product availability. Requires domestic or global expertise of assigned commodities.

Varex Imaging is seeking for a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of area of specialization; resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways. Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Exercises independent judgment and discretion in solving complex business problems.

Your Role

Manage end-to-end material planning and procurement activities.

Create and maintain purchase orders and supplier schedules.

Monitor inventory levels and optimize inventory turns while minimizing excess and obsolete stock.

Coordinate supplier deliveries, expedites, pull-ins, and push-outs.

Investigate and resolve material shortages through root cause analysis.

Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and Phase-In/Phase-Out activities.

Work closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Sourcing, Logistics, and Quality teams.

Monitor supplier performance, delivery, quality, and cost metrics.

Resolve logistics, customs, invoice, and material availability issues.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives in planning and supply chain processes.

Your Profile..

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering and 3 to 5 years of related experience
  • Read drawings and understand specifications
  • Track and report on PO performance metrics such as on-time delivery, order accuracy.
