Coordinates purchasing activities with manufacturing and engineering departments to acquire inventory in a cost effective and timely manner. Acquires and maintains technical understanding of products purchased. Performs cost analysis and volume planning for major commodities. Obtains materials, components, equipment and services. Develops new supply sources where vendors and suppliers are inadequate. Monitors the cost, schedule and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure highest quality at best value. May recommend cost saving proposals including make-versus-buy analysis, alternative sourcing and vendor evaluation criteria.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate Request For Quotation and Purchase Order related activities in ERP/CRM system within given time frames with focus on service, cost and value.
  • Complete the satisfaction of the partner by best option supply route and performing cost analysis and volume planning to ensure inventory item supply options are accurate.
  • Monitor the cost, delivery schedule and scope of products and services including TCO to assure highest quality at best value.
  • Manage inventory items supply including source and price agreements and replenishment
  • Manage vendors tactical performance following business Measurements.
  • Work with AMR Team, partners and vendors to ensure delivery and payment issues are resolved promptly
  • Ensure procurement data consistency and process understanding of SLAs.
  • Manage supplier selection, negotiations and business reviews.
  • Build productive internal/external working relationships.
  • Communicate with partners and provide necessary support and information.
  • Apply company procedures to resolve standard and non-standard issues. Provide suggestions for improvement and lead improvement projects.
  • Lead low-, mid- and high-complexity project assignment based on priorities.

The Essentials - You Will Have:

  • Bachelor or Master's degree in Supply Chain related areas (ie. Logistics, Economics)
  • Procurement or Supply Chain management 1+ years of experience
  • Communicative English skills both written and verbal (B2 minimum)
  • Use standard MS Office tools (applications and cloud), especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint (functions, formatting)
  • SAP, DDS, CPro, and PowerBI knowledge will be an advantage
  • Experienced in vendor management and able to translate a required outcome into a process
  • Experience with customer market, specific products purchased or services rendered desirable
  • Demonstratable data analysis skills
  • Understanding of complex Supply Chain interdependencies and International Trade
  • Work with teams in multicultural environment
  • And Continuous Improvement oriented
  • Work in environment with unexpected changes, easily adapting

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

  • Additional language skills will be an advantage, especially German
