About us
Damen Shipyards Group has been in operation for over ninety years and offers maritime solutions worldwide, through design, construction, conversion and repair of ships and ship components. By integrating systems , Damen creates innovative, high quality platforms, which provide our customers with maximum added value.
The Group’s core values are fellowship, craftsmanship, entrepreneurship and stewardship whereas its goal is to become the world’s most sustainable shipbuilder, via digitalisation, standardisation and serial construction of its vessels and through use of circular materials.
Damen operates 35 shipyards and 20 other companies in 20 countries supported by a worldwide sales and service network. The Group delivers in the region of 100 vessels per year, with a total production value of over 3 billion euros and offers direct employment to approximately 12,500 people.
Since joining the Damen Shipyards Group in 1999, Damen Shipyards Galaţi, currently the group’s top exporter of high-end complex vessels, has developed into a highly efficient production yard with significant output. Its expertise and closely managed supply chain have been behind some of Damen’s most important deliveries to date, fully illustrating the group’s diverse product portfolio.
The role
In this exciting role, as a Buyer you will be part of the team responsible for managing supply chain activities across the procurement function, with a focus on quality, delivery timelines, cost efficiency, risk management, and logistics.
You will represent the Procurement Department, ensuring alignment and consistency between operational needs and procurement processes across the organization.
