Buyer- Leeds

We’re looking for a proactive and commercially aware Buyer to join our team, playing a key role in ensuring the smooth flow of products across our supply chain. This position sits at the centre of our operations, responsible for intercompany purchasing, order management and logistics coordination to minimise risk and support profitable growth.

You’ll take ownership of the end-to-end order lifecycle, working closely with internal stakeholders, suppliers and logistics partners to ensure products are delivered on time, inventory is optimised and customer demand is consistently met. This is a fast-paced, detail-oriented role where your decisions directly influence service levels, efficiency and business performance.

This role is a hybrid role working in the office a minimum of 3 days per week.

What will you be doing?

  • Managing intercompany purchasing and order fulfilment to meet business demand and positively impact inventory turns and have predictable and accurate on-time delivery.
  • Owning the order lifecycle from purchase order placement through to delivery, ensuring accuracy and timely updates in systems
  • Tracking and managing order status, proactively resolving issues and communicating updates to stakeholders
  • Partnering with suppliers to ensure delivery commitments are met and risks are mitigated
  • Working closely with warehouse, logistics and transport partners to ensure on-time receipt and delivery of goods
  • Monitoring and managing non-conforming inventory, including product disposition and issue resolution
  • Supporting inventory ageing, fill rate performance and stock optimisation activities such as rotation and liquidation
  • Collaborating with internal teams (planning, sales, customer operations) to ensure clear communication on order status and resolutions
  • Contributing to process improvements and key supply chain initiatives

What about you?

  • Proven experience in a purchasing, buying or supply chain role (typically 3+ years)
  • Strong understanding of order management, logistics and inventory control processes
  • Confident working independently, with the ability to make sound decisions and manage priorities
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify issues and drive solutions
  • A collaborative team player who can work cross-functionally in a matrix environment
  • Degree qualified or equivalent experience
