Job Description

YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

We are seeking a highly skilled Buyer with strong analytical and decision-making capabilities to manage complex purchasing activities and optimize supply chain performance. This role requires advanced knowledge of procurement operations, risk mitigation and compliance to ensure operational excellence and cost efficiency. The Buyer will act as a key decision-maker, collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop solutions that align with organizational goals and drive continuous improvement.

  • Serve as a strategic partner to the Planners, Product Managers, and Industry Market Managers, providing insights and recommendations that influence sourcing decisions.
  • Foster strong relationships with suppliers and address vendor complaints.
  • Maintain close monitoring of supplier performance, and cost structures to support sound informed purchasing decisions that enhance profitability and service levels.
  • Lead discussions with suppliers to secure delivery schedules while maintaining compliance with company policies.
  • Develop and implement strategies for managing inbound logistics, reducing transportation issues and related costs.
  • Proactively identify risks in the supply chain, propose mitigation plans, and adjust purchasing strategies to maintain continuity of supply.
  • Monitor and interpret key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess supplier reliability and drive improvements in procurement processes.
  • Resolve complex issues related to invoice discrepancies, delivery delays, and quality concerns through root cause analysis and corrective action planning.
  • Recommend and implement process enhancements to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and strengthen supplier relationships.
  • Collaborate with leadership to support long-term procurement initiatives, including vendor consolidation, cost optimization, and operational goals.
  • Uphold ethical standards and ensure compliance with all regulatory and corporate requirements.
  • Collect and communicate commercial terms to the Cost Team Management Team for product cost update
  • Ensure timely delivery of items, expediting when necessary, and follow up on outstanding orders.

YOUR PROFILE

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training: or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • General business and/or technical degree preferred.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in data collection, analysis, and presentation.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Problem solving skills and ability to mitigate issues in collaborative ways.
  • Ability to prioritize job duties and responsibilities and switch between tasks when the need arises.
  • Communicate efficiently verbally and through email.
